My Prayer

I went to God in quiet prayer today

And asked Him please to show me the way.

I told Him that I couldn't battle much more

My heart slowly sinking to the floor.

I let Him know of family and friends,

That I will miss when my time ends.

I told him what my goals once were,

Is it so wrong to not want a cure?

Then with the gentle voice, hearing Him say,

"My child, this is where we must start today."

Look not at all the things you will miss,

Never will you loose the memory of their kiss.

The more He spoke, the warmer I felt,

Till finally, I was happy and there I knelt.

Crying and pleading, please show me more.

Wanting to say on this side of deaths door.

He showed me my home up in heaven above,

No more hate, crimes or wars, but abundant love.

No need to worry about suffering or pain,

There is so much in heaven you will gain.

His words came, " this is what your life will be.

Don't think of the loss of those around thee.

Look forward to your final breath,

For then you will know that you are truly blessed."

As I rose from prayer, I knew my life was great,

because of God's love, He will not forsake,

God's voice is there, deep in your heart,

"My child remember that I will never depart."

Memories of Grandma

This poem was written from a dream...

I came here to your grave to pray.

With all of the memories of yesterday

Upon your stone, lay a yellow rose,

I left behind, so you would know,

I brought my love and words to share.

I thought I seen you standing there,

Your face bright with a translucent smile.

I sat and daydreamed of you for awhile

And when I turned away at last,

My thoughts still dwelling on the past,

A breeze brought rose scent and the sound

Of your wonderful voice, still all around!

You'll Never Make It!

They said " you'll never make it,"
To this very point in your life.
They said " you'll never make it,"
Due to the barriers you put up.

They said " you'll never make it."
All the problems have multiplied.
They said" you'll never make it,"
Though my spirits may subside.

They said " you'll never make it,"
So I had to lean on faith much more.
They said " you'll never make it,"
Your strength is hardly any more.

They said " you'll never make it,"
To the dawning of the new day.
They said" you'll never make it,"
Though this was proven away.

I said " you'll never make it,"
When all the problems are heavy.
I said " you'll never make it,"
Till the end of this bright day.

I said " you'll never make it,"
Because you've given up all hope.
I said "you'll never make it,"
How can you ever make it "I say?"
Without our precious Loving God.

Whispers of Hope

Am I alone on this dark dreary road?
Wondering who will help carry my load.
Winds kicking up the dust in the air;
Look over there, a light is coming near.

Sun beating down upon my burning head;
The shoes upon my feet are heavy as lead;
Hoping for relief is much on my mind.
Hunting for shelter, running out of time.

Shadows fall, but whispers of hope, prevailing
Listening to the promises of love unfailing.
The roads so rocky and so hard to endure;
Searching for a long awaited miracle cure.

I paused for a moment and gazed into the sky;
Searching for the answers, just wanting to cry.
Writing out many excuses to run and hide;
Charmed by the presence standing on my right side.

Dissolving the darkness with your precious sight;
My hope for shelter and relief from with in your light.
Angels displaying a brilliant and sweet refining grace.
Peace and joy were written all over their face.

Thinking that He has not heard my prayers;
My heart and soul questioning who still cares.
The Heavenly gift of celestial angels surround;
Not just whispers of hope is what I have found.

Loud trumpets have been shouted from my soul;
Even through sorrows we have our tomorrows;
Although times are bleak, listen to the angels speak.
When hope seems lost, look for God and seek.

The Reward:

Many times we worry, about what we're going to do:
When faced with situations, those trials we must go through.
But Jesus never promised us, a life so full of ease;
We have access to a wonderful place, if we only use our keys

Why is it that we worry, and get alarmed by what we see
When we know Him to be our Father, a mighty friend is He
Sometimes we may not feel Him, but we know that He is near
Our prayers through tearful eyes, He said He'd always hear

Help my friend is on the way, He'll never let you down.
No matter what it appears to be, no matter how it sounds.
It may not come tomorrow, you may just have to wait;
But one thing is for certain, it will never be too late.

Take a little time my friends, you are never all alone
There is a place of utter peace before Gods Heavenly Throne.
I'm coming Lord , I answered, for the time is so very near;
I hear Him calling unto me that you are so very dear.

Come this way my child, let's take a peaceful walk;
I'll hold you and I'll comfort you and listen while you talk.
You had the courage to overcome and endure till the end;
I'm right here with open arms and here for you loving friend.

Rainbows of Promise

When there are days that life is caving in;

Faith through God will revive you again.

God said He would keep us till the very end;

Turn to His light and welcome Him in.

And should you get lost and grow a bit weary;

Turn to the one that will take all your worries;

For there is a promise of a heavenly reward;

Open your hears and trust in the Lord.

If you are wondering why you must go through;

All of the pain and don't know what to do;

Believe me I have asked myself all of this;

But the true love of God is what some miss.

All of the strength and faith that you see;

Is nothing more then a gift from God to me;

This is a gift that all of His children possess;

Just sometimes we miss it in all of our distress.

So many have special talents that go unfound;

Talk to the Lord and you will find steady ground;

Some may say that health and wealth are the greatest gifts;

Without peace and joy, I wouldn't want them on my list.

If you feel like life is passing you by;

And all you can do is sit back and cry;

Storms may seem to be brewing in your life;

Just turn to Christ and He will show you the reasons why.

Rolling Thunder

When times are rough and burdens are heavy.
Look towards the the beacon in the distance.
Rolling thunder from within your soul.
Engulfing all that has giving you control.

All that watches and guides us to and fro.
Not just a device of our nearly departed soul.
Waiting and watching from the corners around.
For nothing to be, but a shallow beating sound.

The deepest despair of the darkest dungeons.
A staggering battle to just barely survive.
The shock of reality has taken you deep under,
Listening forward to the long awaited thunder.

What wonder is it that time goes on without,
Mere compassion and the cords of the lonely heart.
Laughter and Joy but a bleak distant memory,
Forgetting, waiting and watching, what is our part?

The darkness and despair and loneliness too.
Can be but a long awaited lost memory for you.
Thunder rolls in and yet no more can we loose.
For God can take and make you brand new.

God is our STRENGTH and REFUGE you must see.
Unconditional love given by none other but He.
You will be saved from all that burdens your soul.
All you have to do is ask and put God in control.

Just One Moment:

Just one moment at a time! For no pain is so deep.
Yet we can still follow the steps of His feet.
What if this moment was to be our last breath?
Has our journey ended, or is this our next step?

Just one moment at a time! Let thou light shine.
Is my heart pure and truly belonging with thine?
Living each day with all the guidance from above;
Feeling the protection of His unconditional love.

Just one moment at a time! You send us all angels.
During our weakest most darkest of fears,
Traveling through life's journeys with you so near.
The glorious songs we hear ringing in our ears.

Just one moment at a time! Lending a guiding hand.
Granting the strength to make this moment last.
Watching and giving hope and joy to all around.
Never forsaking, offering rest in thy great land.

I asked for grace to lift me up high.
I asked for peace to journey through life.
I asked for strength to help with my fight.
I asked I was given, At this moment in time.

ECHOS

In the dark silent corners of my mind;

Echoes of all the happiness I left behind.

Talks and promises of all the love for me,

All of this seems to be but a bleak memory.

Echoes of the song you sang to me that night,

I sit in the darkness for nothing seems right.

Visualizing the moment you came to my side,

Thinking and dreaming of someone to confide.

Echoes of all the precious words you have said,

Dances of hope fad as the many tears I shed.

You told me you would be there, I feel so alone,

Regretting not with with the angels to carry me home.

Listening one night to the echoes of the past

Could there be something that will make them last?

Searching for answers to all the lost memories

That I cry out dear Lord "Lord please make me free."

The love that engulfed my heartbroken soul;

I feel like my life is spinning out of control.

Out of the light a strong caring voice,

Said unto me, "dear child, you do have a choice."

Beating Heart:

Is my heart not beating?

Has the journey of my soul began?

For yet it yearns to reach out

Is there even a reason to hope?

The will is weak, but not yet dead

Deals for strength running through my head.

In prayers silent as the nigh

In dreams screaming, wanting to hide.

As life passes without a sigh

Looking towards heavens quiet sky.

The heart still beating as I wake

Still of the world, resting by the lake.

ASK

When your spirit seems so low,
And your life is really out of control,
Ask of our dear Father to help you be strong,
When in doubt, and life seems to go wrong,

When troubles pile up and you can't find hope,
Know in your heart that God will help you cope.
Ask of our dear Father to show you the way.
He will take the away the pain and brighten your day.

When you feel lonely and deep with despair,
Just remember that God is always there.
Ask of our dear Father to show you His light,
Angels will be sent to help you through the night.

When your faith seems to be dwindling away,
You don't feel like you can make it another day,
Ask of our dear Father to take all your sorrows,
He will give you power in the darkest of hours.

When your heart is hurting, and burdens too much,
And you feel life is like the lame mans crutch.
Ask of our dear Father to help you endure.
For God will send you comfort with His love so pure.

When you feel life's journey is drawing near,
Take comfort in Gods promise and do not fear,
Ask of our Father to cradle you till the end,
He will eternally be your greatest friend.

All But a Dream

The heart is broken unmended it seems.
The distant cries all seem but a dream.
This harsh world can at times be mean.
His love is more than you've ever seen.

The many troubles and strife's you bare,
For so many pains, nobody around to care.
You have come to this place to share.
There is not one that can really compare.

I will love you from this special moment.
Hidden messages that only we know who sent.
Were written in the hearts and go unspent.
In death the love is permanent like cement.

Worry no more what some may have said,
As time goes on you'll know in your head,
That all the angels are there instead,
Watching over you as you cuddle in bed.

Know in your heart that no matter what,
With God all the fear and pain will depart.
I know how difficult it may be to start,
Remember all you need is deep in your heart.

Angels Breeze

Man is never alone, together we must stand.
Much I have learned from thy command.
Love one another as I have loved you.
Never forsaking what is really true.

Though friendships are many miles apart.
All are joined by the depth of the heart.
For you are just as close as the mind.
The moons and the stars nearly entwined.

When nobody is there through the night.
Call out for the Lord, He will make it right.
Catching the breeze from the angels you send.
I see what you did. You sent me great friends.

There is a Place

There is a place of quiet rest,

A place where life is the best,

A place of joy and happiness,

A place where no storm clouds exist.

There is a place with a celestial sound,

A place that is built on no earthly ground,

A place where the message is blissfully sweet,

A place one-day we all shall meet.

A place where there is a crystal lake.

With sunshine waiting when you awake,

A place so glorious, pure and bright,

A place that is a pure heavenly delight.

A place where life has turned to nothing less,

Than hope, peace and righteousness,

No more death or pain can enter there.

Because God loves us, He really does care.

When can you find this place that is so grand?

Believe in god, He will walk with you hand in hand,

When your earthly job is finished and you fall asleep,

Your journey to this place will be complete.

The Other Side

I know where I am, and it feels so right,

I'm looking back at them, and walking toward the light.

That's the way, I remember spending last night,

The many before me, all dressed in white.

I can hear all you say, hear when you pray,

So tired these days, I just want to stay.

Once in a place, of a world gone gray,

I seem so close to you, yet so far away.

It's hard to explain, but a long awaited ride,

Somewhere between you, and the other side.

I feel like I have to go, they're showing me the light,

I look down below, did I really loose my fight?

Whispers of angels and chimes of perfected sound,

My soul journeys back, I returned to earthly ground.

The jobs not finished, waiting for the glorious day.

God's angels promised that soon I would forever stay.

When that time comes, I know  I'll be all right,

Because its God ahead, who's showing me the light.

Please! Don't be so sad, there's no more pain to be had,

For God's angels will be holding my hand, to the other side.

Completed Life

When our life is complete, knowing the end is near,

What do we have to hold onto that is dear?

We have our words we shared many a day,

And the memories of those, touched along the way.

So look in your heart, and see all that we have done,

Notice all the lives that you have touched,

They will hold onto you, loving you just as much,

Your residence may not be upon this earthly home

Your soul is in the company of angels and your never alone.

You, Only You

When I close my eyes,

I see your wonderful face.

When I'm sleeping,

I dream of being with you.

When I'm alone,

I can think of nothing but you.

I can't help but smile,

When I think of you.

When I'm hurting,

I want you to hold me.

When we aren't together,

I long to be with you.

When I'm with you Lord,

I know nothing can hurt me.

He Offers

His smile is loving and kind

His touch so gentle an warm

He'll guide you when you feel you have lost the way

He's give you strength to carry on another day,

For:

Where you feel things are hopeless, Christ IS OUR HOPE

Where there is pain, CHRIST WILL BE THERE TO COMFORT YOU

Where there is misery, CHRIST SENDS RELIEF

Where there is obstacles, CHRIST OFFERS US GREAT PEACE.

The Day You Left- Red Tack

Let me give a little bit of history on this poem. This poem was written when my daughter Jessica decided that she was going to move to Phoenix. It was right before her 18th birthday. She graduated and such. Jessica always had something going in her room and the day she left, there was nothing there. Just one thing and it wasn't her.

The Red Tack

I wish I could say that I was wise,

Missing the childlike look in your eyes.

I tried to shelf you from all those pains,

Showing you rainbows peeking from the rain.

Through the days I think of you dear.

Trying to hide from you my tears.

I know that I should be strong,

My daughter I miss you, is that so wrong?

When your years at home have passed,

I knew in my heart that the years were too fast.

My dreams for you dear daughter of mine,

Is that you are happy and be loving and kind.

What pride I have for you are the greatest prize,

Than this mother does truly realize.

I love you daughter, more than words can express,

Remember in your heart that you really are missed.

Great Day

On that great day of the Lord?

When the world from us shall pass

And we stand knowing that this is the last.

You and I, walking up to the Lords side

Thinking we have become His bride:

When we have been put to the test;

Have we really tried to do our best?

Or did we simply make choices of ease

Who are in reality wanting to please?

Alone we face Him and His great love,

Not just our Savior, now our judge.

So think now what can be done,

Before the great day of His Son.

God's Gift

Each day I wake and look toward the sky

I ponder the reason, when and why

But when I think of where this all came

Knowing  His love will forever remain.

The words are there if we take time to look

The answers are found written in His book.

Each person was given, a divine inspiration,

Do not neglect this gift, in moments of desperation,

Seek all wisdom and strength from within,

That is where God's gifts really begin.

Indirect Blessings

You don't have to worry and do not be afraid ,
Joy will come once again and sorrows washed away.
When your tests and trials start to bring you down,
He'll touch your life and spread His light all around.

If your tired and weary, with no strength to fight,
Cover your heart with the angels wings tonight.
And let His perfect love sweep you away,
Forever at peace in His loving arms to stay.

No matter how big the troubles are, great or small,
Do not hesitate to to make that special call.
A busy signal on the other end I promise you won't find,
A patient loving God is there, He is so very kind.

Are you lonely tonight and you need to make things right,
Turn to God for He will your open eyes to a beautiful site.
For all the cloudy days will seem so far way,
God will take the dark clouds and show you the Son today.

When all the things in life make you feel like you will drown,
Put your trust in God and He will always be around.
Look around your world and nothing really is missing,
You will see that everything can be an indirect blessing.
